Using up Gelliplate prints

So I saw a video on pinterest on making ATC's from gelliplate prints. It looked fun , so I thought I'd have a go .

Basically you just draw  cut out or tear out a few circles of paper and randomly stick them to the print. Then you draw flowers around them using acrylic paints - well anything really , although acrylic paint is better and more dense over the acrylic print.

once the paint is dry, go in with finer detail - using more paint, pens, inks , whatever. I have also used liquid pearls and glitter glue to accent the flowers. Next the scary bit ...cutting it up!!

ooo they are not too bad.

 I quite like them.

They are definately different from my "norm"

Think I can call myself a "mixed media artist" yet ? Ha Ha

I need to find a swap now.

I will do this again I think.

And I did .. might put a coating on them to seal them though .

  5. What a cool idea, Sue. I really ned to get my act together and make a gelli plate. I've got all the ingredients ready, just haven't actually got around to making it. Perhaps if I get a brayer first I'll tell myself it's useless without the plate lol. x
