Playing with vellum
I made this card ( again with my not so new paperartsy stamps ) I stamped with clear embossing ink and white embossing powder onto vellum ( I bought LOADS when I first started scrap booking - is was a sparkle vellum with tiny bits of glitter trapped in it but you can't really see here)
I coloured the back of the cut out pieces with copic pens but any colouring pens would work or for a softer finish- chalks ( remember them ?)
The background paper was printed using the gelliplate and an old wooden Indian print stamp . I added liquid pearl dots.
Its a bit difficult to see the sentiment - it's SO dark here today.
I die-cut it from a piece left over from playing with brusho paints.
The next card was inspired ( read copied) by the gorgeous card I found on pinterest.
No where near as lovely but I enjoyed making it.
This is the original and I believe it is also on the paperartsy blog .
Back soon.

They're two absolutely beautiful cards make with those lovely stamps. I really like the white embossing and the gelli plate backgrounds are lovely Sue. Barbxx
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, what a fantastic effect - make perfect wall hangings too.
ReplyDeleteTwo stunners, Sue! I love them both, and I prefer the colours on yours. A great technique
ReplyDeleteThey are both beautiful, Sue. I've got some vellum on my Amazon wish list but am thinking I'm going to practice on some good quality tracing paper before I spend any money on the 'real' stuff...wow, my sister would be proud of me if she read that last bit lol. xx
