Finished Journal Page
This post carries on from my Wednesday post HERE.
So after the paint dried, I added seed beads and those tiny caviar beads. I found a pack of 10 colours in pound land a year or so ago ( they were meant to be used for adding to nails) .
You can see some of the blue here. I also brushed the page with perfect pearls and some gilding wax.
I found some very old embellishments and painted them .
I added some tiny sequins ( also from pound land and meant for nails).
The two clay flowers were made from sculpy clay years ago and painted .
I made the paper flower a long time ago - it was pink , so it got painted too!
I added some Tim Holtz sticker words and some dew drops.
Can you remember those film frames we all just HAD to have about 5 years ago? I have loads still - this is a card one that had been painted, embellished and used to frame some more words.
I dusted the flowers with perfect pearls.
My inspiration was from HERE.

Wow this is really lovely Sue. I love the touches of gold and how you have updated 'old' embellishments x
ReplyDeleteIt looks gorgeous finished Sue. Love those little caviar beads. I must go along to Poundland! The film frames we had 5 years ago - was it really that long. I have a die that I couldn't live without and it's still NBUS! Barbxx
ReplyDeleteFabulous, love the beads... now, where did I put mine?!
ReplyDeleteThe page looks beautiful Sue. Love how you have used the beads in the recess areas of the letters.

Fantastic, Sue. I love the finished page, and like the other ladies, I feel a trip to £Land coming on. The last time I went in there they had quite a large display of nail art gear but having crappy nails, I never bother to look there. I think I may well be filling my basket up with goodies. x
ReplyDeleteLovely texture and colours in this!
