August Week 5 UKS Challenge

I have set the weekly challenge over at UKS this week.
The challenge : 10 points- Use floral paper
10 Points-use a stencil
10 points- use a butterfly.

I chose two very different styles

the first one - lovely and bright. The papers with the sunflowers are some Daisy D papers that I loved so much I had to have two sheets . I used an old sunflower stencil on the background with distress inks ( I think the sencil was free on a mag years ago)

The butterflies were cut from P paper left over from a retreat last year.

I chose soft pastel colours for the next one and used some of my fav maja papers.
The butterflies were stampedf and coloured in with paint.

I have decided that this stick is a bit bright so may tone it down with some gesso.

I used pale blue and white acrylic paint though a hexagon stencil ( memory box) and then very lightly stamped the text over it.

I though I would also do a card ( you don't get points for cards at UKS but as I make loads of cards - I thought I would add one).

I used distress inks to creat the background and the memory box stencil. I added a little sparkle with a spray. The stamped butterfly was also coloured with the distress inks.

Pop over to UKS and join in the fun

  2. They're both lovely pages Sue. I like the way you've stencilled the sunflower. It looks very pretty. Both colour combinations are beautiful . The card is lovely. Pink and yellow are one of my favourite colour combinations to do. Barbxx
