WOYWW 566

I have been making mini books this week  - the one on the left is not quite done yet and is tiny.

watching lots of social medias "lives" and played with tissues ,stencils and glue.

I made another mini book with some of the results.

I was even able to sew onto it .

One of the inmates had a birthday this week and turned 25 - not the birthday she had planned but we made the best of it.

I finally got to use my birthday Prez ( from January!!!) yesterday - a kitchen aid mixer - and made a coconut cake - almost gone now .
Well today is my day to go out a forage as there's no deliveries, there are a few local pubs selling supplies so I am off  to see what I can find. We are out of milk , bread a the dreaded Toilet roll - wish me luck . I hate having to go out but am shielding everyone else and as there are 5 adults here , we get though stuff pretty quick.
Anyway- on a lighter note .....
I found this on  Face book and tagged hubby into it - though to be fair - its almost 37 yrs not 15 .

If you would like to join in with the blog hop - pop over to Julia's blog where all the details are and join in .

Take care - keep safe

  2. I laughed out loud at the Husband saying at the end!! Mine is doing all sorts of jobs that have arisen from me saying "I've been thinking...." lol! I hope you find the stuff you need out there today, it's so tricky - our shops are doing quite well but there's no flour to be had anywhere. I have a kitchen aid and adore it! Hope you enjoy using yours, the coconut cake looked scrummy!

  3. Wow those mini journals are turning out beautifully. We have a 25th birthday coming up in May and at the moment we are trying not to think about being stuck at home with minimal festivities. The cake sounds absolutely relish. Praying you got all the groceries you needed. Stay safe.

  4. Hi Soojay, love your projects, they look fab. I've been seeing Tracy Evans do lots of videos on Fb too. Just laughing at what Jan said about her saying ' I was just thinking'- poor Doug dreads me saying that, lol. Have a lovely week, Stay safe, Hugs, Shaz #10 X

  6. Hi Soojay. I, too, laughed out loud at the bottom comment - oh my. We are all learning new things at the moment in this very strange situation, aren't we? I love the mini book - well done. You've been having fun with all those tutorials!

  7. Hi ya Soojay how lovely is that little book, love those sort of makes and the fish scale really is a lovely shape to work with. Happy belated Birthday to your house mate :)) The cake looks very yummy, bet it didn't last very long. With 4 adults in our house your right about food not lasting too long.
I'm the one doing the shopping & medication pick ups, it's a worry when you wonder about picking something up more than just the shopping but being the carer of both Mum's someone has to take that responsibility. Take good care of yourself & I hope you get those essentials you all need to get you through the bank holiday weekend.
Thanks for sharing WoywW stay safe Tracey #24 xx

  12. I'm still laughing at that Facebook post! So funny! I absolutely love mini books - have fun making them! We managed to get online deliveries for the first two weeks (only because we normally order online and have them booked already) but not any more. I'm dreading going to the shops too - we'll see how far we can get without a weekly shop. Got lots of porridge oats - we can always cook them water LOL! Not very appealing though! Take care and stay safe! Thanks for your visit earlier - it was nice hearing from you! zsuzsa #16

  13. Hi Soojay, gorgeous mini books, love the colours on them. Your hubby funny at the end made me laugh, and then I laughed even more at Jan's and Shaz's comments when they say to hubby "I've been thinking ..." - Mr M always groans when I say that as it usually indicates a job for him to do! I'm avoiding going out, so I leave it up to Mr M to do the shopping. No online slots are available, so I've given up trying. Good luck with getting what you need - I wish people would just stop panic buying, and shop as normal, then we wouldn't have such a problem. Have a lovely week and stay safe and well, Heather xx #27

  14. The funny made me smile. We'd just got back from a 4 week break (just us slumming it in Spain) when all this madness occurred. Poor old hubby has spent more time with me in the last three months than the 40 odd years we've been together. I think we are still speaking - well, it works both ways I guess!! Gorgeous minis by the way. Good luck with the foraging, it must be hard with 5 of you there. Sorry I'm a tad behind but happy WOYWW! Stay home if you can,, stay well, stay safe - have a good week., Cindy #26

  15. Those little books are awesome and the quote/phrase made me smile... did you succed in finding groceries and toilet paper? My beloved is doing the shopping overhere every three days or so (I don't want him going to the super market more!) but otherwise we stay at home too. Stay healty, safe and creative. 18. Ha ha! I'm glad hubby and I both have bad memories! And that there is a floor between us as he "lives" in the basement and I upstairs. We do meet at night, however... That is a lovely cake, I love coconut! Have a lovely Easter, keep busy, stay safe! Lindart #29

  19. Sorry I’m late. The mini books are just gorgeous, gracious they are tiny. Love the nibs and inks images . Happy returns to Miss 25, prolly a bit quieter than planned, but hey, coconut cake! Lovely. Hope the foraging was a success...five adults means quite a lot of foraging, go you!

  20. Lovely little mini-books, Soojay, and great funny at the end!! Glad you are coping OK with the lockdown. I'm having problems securing Tesco delivery slots but my wonderful hubby will shop for us which is good. Apart from that, my life is not much different from usual as I'm mostly housebound anyway, but it's great to have my hubby around all the time.

    Happy belated WOYWW,
