Happy Wednesday - the only day of the week I know now.
I tidied my desk a bit yesterday , but that was only so I could mess it up again .
I have been joining in with Tracy Evans workshops, such fun - 4 hours over two days , I enjoyed it so much, I am doing it all again . I am talking about the tissues paintbrush and the gorgeous stenciled background. I need to pop on some embellishments before it is complete.
The flower was a quick online demo using alcohol inks ( you can find this and other on Tracy's You tube)
The next workshop is at the end of the month - we will be making a mini accordion book , you can request to join on any of Tracy's face book pages.

I am still doing my embroidery - slowly .
This was the original piece from the first workshop.
Hubby cooked us all brunch on Tuesday - Yumm.
I got my mixer out again and made bread rolls and soup.
I also made a lemon cake ( already sliced as I don't trust my lot not to eat too much!!)
I am really pleased to have managed a "click and collect " 5 miles away - so don't have to forage too much this week - yayyy - it feels like a lottery win , even if it is still pot luck if it is all there.
If you would like to join in with the blog hop , pop over to Julia's blog where all the details are.

The cake looks yummy Sue, no wonder you have pre sliced it lol. Hubby makes a nice brunch too. Great projects from the online workshops. Your embroidery is coming on brilliantly. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #7
ReplyDeleteLove all the food you showed us, the bacon meal always appeals to me but I must say those rolls and the lemon cake look awfully good. I have been baking too but cannot get flour for love nor money so am cutting it down now, just a few biscuits this week.
ReplyDeleteLove the embroidery and have got my book and pages ready for Tracy's class.
See you there - Stay safe and well
Hugs, Neet 2 xx
Wow all your projects look fabulous. The lemon cake looks mouth watering delicious. Stay safe and keep creating.

We certainly do seem to focus our days around what we are going to eat next meal and have also backed bread rolls...and enjoyed them very much. I have a feeling when they let us all out of isolation some of us will struggle to get out through the doors :-)

Hi Soojay, laughing at the funny! Keep wanting to do some home made bread rolls, but at the moment, flour and yeast are like the Holy Grail around here! Love the embroidery, and I've been seeing all the makes from Tracey on FB, they do look fab. Stay safe, Hugs, Shaz #8 X
ReplyDeleteHi Soojay. Yum!! That cake looks scrummy. Homemade bread and soup - brunch - it's a feast coming over to your post today! Well done on the workshops. Great work.
ReplyDeleteTake care. Stay safe. God bless.

Oh fun, great photos, and I love the last little question. In 14 yrs of marriage I have NEVER cooked as much food, and he does his own breakfast. We run the dishwasher everyday ! Retired country living, we spent lots of time dining out, something quick, inexpensive, socializing. Well we quit drinking the beer, can't go out and I am GAINING weight. AND he has LOST weight. He loves to have deserts, 1 piece. and me I take a smaller piece EVERY time I walk by I now store it in closed quarters. I do wish I could still embroidery, (eyes) But the photos of your other projects are very nice. I love Tracy's work. Stay Safe and do fun things to keep sane. #23
ReplyDeleteLovely artwork on your desk today, how fab that you found such great online tutorials. I love your embroidery, it's so beautiful and you have so much more patience than me! The funny at the end made me hoot, I really do feel like that if if my hubby and son are really helping out as well!

We all have to tidy up a bit now and then or where would we work! Looks as though it was worth it, nice projects on the go there. I love anything that Tracy does she is so talented. Cooking is far more less likely to be done than crafting I think that is given a choice! Take care and have a crafty woyww, Angela x17x
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely projects I think we are all the same just finding different things to make, I have tried to tidy my desk but not got very far but it looks better than it did lol
ReplyDeleteTake care ,

I seem to tidy my desk after every project. Your tags are gorgeous! I haven't done tissue casting in years! And what a great meal and foods! I do need to make some goodies soon. I have to admit that my dishwasher is getting lots more use!
ReplyDeleteThanks for popping by and have a wonderful week!

I am loving your beautiful work from Tracey's workshops - the textured piece reminds me of a technique I do with toilet paper and a rubber stamp! Possibly not the best technique given the current loo roll situation but I might revisit it now that loo rolls are back on the shelves! The baking looks yummy and I sympathize with the shopping palaver - I feel like I've won the jackpot if I get a click and collect - the possibility of an actual delivery is non existent.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good week, stay safe and well,

Oh you have been busy! Some lovely pieces of work (and baking!) on your 'desk'. There is so much stuff online at the moment my head is spinning! I'm having to ignore most of it as I have such a lot to do, it would be awful to come out of this dreadful situation and still be behind! Stay safe, stay well, Happy WOYWW Cindy #12
ReplyDeleteFrom what I saw of it the workshop was great fun. one of my non desk-crafting friends did it too. The cake looks so good! Take care. Helen #4
ReplyDeleteHI Sue, haha I giggled over the Lucy cartoon, yep. I am entirely over the its my turn to cook thing. Love that you have been baking, my weakness is bread. ~Stacy #30
ReplyDeleteHi Soojay, oh your cake looks delicious as do your bread rolls. I am really interested in joining Tracey's workshops after seeing your projects and have requested to join her group. Happy WOYWW x Angela #24
ReplyDeleteTotally taken by your embroidery, amazing, so effective and full of depth.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit BJ#20
I love everything I see on in your blogpost but especially the embroidered little landscape, gorgeous! Thanks for your visit to my blog earlier, have a nice day and stay safe! Hug from Holland, Marit #21
ReplyDeleteI’m used to getting at least a couple of nights a week off from cooking so I’m really being tested now haha. What with that and not getting my hair done I think I’m well on my way to becoming feral
ReplyDeleteTake care

Loving the art work and the lemon cake looks wonderful! Happy belated WOYWW. Take care and stay safe. With love & God Bless, Caro x (#3)
ReplyDeleteYou've got some very interesting projects going on there, Sue. I'm glad you are able to take part in some online workshops. The cooking looks amazing too, although I wouldn't be eating most of it haha! The cake would be hard to resist, though, I must admit.
ReplyDeleteKeep safe and well, and happy belated WOYWW,

Thank you for your lovely comments, Sue, and I'm glad you like my mandala circles, and the pretty primroses and violets in our garden - they are still going strong! It was such a lovely hot day today and we sat outside having our lunch and reading afterwards, with the kitties playing around us. Soon it will be too hot to sit in the patio without the umbrella! We can always go up to the top of the garden in front of the summer house under the shade of the apple tree. We are so blessed with our garden!! I am very fortunate that my hubby can go shopping for us when I can't get a delivery. So far we haven't run short of anything really.

Good morning, Soojay. I notice blogger has seen fit to remove some of your photos in this post. They did that to me last week, too. Hmmm I was able to replace them just fine but haven't checked this morning to see if they still exist.
ReplyDeleteBreads look yummy. I need to bake banana bread today or tomorrow.
Creative Blessings! Kelly #26
