WOYWW 331
Ohh dear, my first post in a week - I had so much planned too! All because of a silly head cold.
I felt ill last Thursday and got worse, ending up spending most of the weekend in bed instead of at a crop and my craft table. Thankfully its moving fast and I was able to make some dreaded Christmas card toppers last night.
So My desk... On the left are those yummy Prima paint able tags ( like I don't have enough tags!)
To the right, the dies I am using ( These will be cards for work mates) Our school symbol is a "Hart" deer ( We are called Hartismere)
Once they are all cut out and assembled, it shouldn't take too long to get a few of these made.
I was meant to go to an inky workshop on Sunday but was too ill - so ordered the Tim Holtz ink tray ( came today :)) and watched lots of you tube demos instead. ...Hummmm looks like I need more inks to fill it up ;) I may well use the stains I have though. I also ordered one of those lovely bags to store it all in but its not arrived yet.
Right, if you would like to join in with the weekly nosey around our desks , pop over to Julia's blog for all the details.
Soojay xx
Hope you get rid of the rest of your cold soon, what a shame you had to miss your crop. Happy spending though! Helen #1
ReplyDeleteThat ink tray looks interesting, I think I could find a use for that. Get well soon

I love your Hart cards! For some reason, it made me think of Vivienne Westwood!!! I know, weird brain alert :-). But they're really funky and different!

Fab toppers, I love your 'Hart' - what a brilliant idea. Sorry you have not been well, I have a bit of a funny tummy today so am going to take a rest even though I have lots to get on with.
ReplyDeleteYour tray - mine got filled up because sometimes I wanted to ad a bit of another colour to make a different shade/tone so hang on until you see what happens.
Hugs and thanks for the earlier visit - Neet 5 xx
Oh dear Sue you have been poorly. What a shame you had to miss your crop. I hope you're soon fully recovered.

I'm glad you're feeling a little better. I love your card toppers. #33
ReplyDeleteHi Soojay! If you dread making Christmas cards, don't! I just buy mine, cause they bore me to tears. Just because we're crafters, doesn't mean we can't use shop bought cards. I make the occasional card if I feel like it, but life is too short to be doing something you don't enjoy, especially in your free time. Love the ink tray - and you're right you need more inks! Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa @ InkyDinkyDoodle #29
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you were not well. I hope it's all gone by the time you read this!
ReplyDeleteLovely cards. The 'hart' certainly is appropriate for your school and I love the design and the colours.
I'm eyeing your ink tray... I'm starting a new course tonight and I could do with one of those. Enjoy playing with it.
Have a good week,

Love the hart toppers, great job. I see the point of the the paint palette with lid thingy for painty crafters, great idea. Hope you're back to full strength really fast..dratted colds, such a waste of time!
ReplyDeleteHi Sue,
ReplyDeleteGlad to see that you're feeling a bit better. I'm lusting after your wonderful dies, especially the trees lol. I've not seen the ink tray before...now I need to go find the vids on YouTube to find out all about it. Love the card toppers, I bet the finished cards will look very classy.

Love your toppers - the reindeer is magnificent (though I have to say with my first glance at the first photo, I thought we had a plague of scorpions on the loose! - very glad you showed the close-up nice and quickly!). The ink tray looks very useful.
