A New Journal Page
I started this one a week ago and finally got to finish it tonight.
I used some pearlized acrylic paints. The heart was pare pieced and then painted over.
I used a hand cut stencil for the embossing paste and then a dotty stamp.
The butterflies were stamped, cut out and painted with twinkling H20 paints.
I also managed to have a play with the new Tim Holtz mosaic kit and managed to stick my thumb in a wet tile! Mr Holtz it takes longer than 40 mins to dry! I shall leave it over night before I ink the grout.

Love the journal page Sue.
ReplyDeleteOoops with the tiles - perhaps Mr T forgets that things are generally a lot warmer where he lives. I look forward to seeing the finished effect.

Hi, Sue,
ReplyDeleteLove the finished journal page...guess what...mine is still as virginal as the day I bought it. My excuse? I want to re-arrange my craft room but ache a bit today after finishing breaking up an old sofa, so I'm 'resting' today lol. Ooh...I love your tile. Can't wait to see it finished. I've got the mosaic kit on my wish list. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised to see how cheap it was for a TH product. I can't wait to get the set and then perhaps some chipboard or MDF shapes to play on. I've always wanted to dabble in mosaics and this way is going to be a lot easier than playing with broken china or glass...and a LOT safer for old clumsy fingers me (still getting over smashing my hand with a hammer last week lol).
