Playing with Prima oil pastels
I bought some of the new prima watercolour tags to try the oil pastels out on .
This one just uses the pastels the same way as watercolours. I scribbled a little colour onto a piece of acetate and added water to pain with . I used a gold metallic pentel brush for the middle frame.
On this tag I coloured directly onto the tag and added a little water to oil pastel afterwards.
This tag did not turn out at all like it was supposed to. I coloured with bright multi colours randomly and then went over the whole tag with black.. I added a stencil and wiped off the black pastel with a baby wipe but unfortunately also wiped off the colour underneath..ohh well ..I still like it .

Lovely tags Sue. What a super way to play with your new pastels.

Hi, Sue,
ReplyDeleteThey have come out really well haven't they. What fun! I have to say that your 'happy accident' is really rather striking isn't it. Do you have to use watercolour tags or could you get away with 'normal' ones? Have a fun weekend playing in your craftroom

You dont have to use watercolour paper - The accident was on a normal tag - the others are water colour :)
