First art journal page of 2016 - Hearts

I bought some Paperartys stamps in the Christmas countdown sale at Country View crafts and have been keen to use them , 

First I inked the page with distress inks and then used a dotty stencil and some spray mists for the background.

The hexagon and the dotty circles are from paper artsy. Coloured in with sharpie pens. The circles have Nuvo crystal drops added- I Love how the colour underneath reacts with them , changing the colour from white.

 I ink stained the heart doily and cut a mount out from yellow cards stock and then swished some distress stain on that too.

 My may noticed that I am using my Free heart stamp again. I can't even remember where i go it from ( probably the Craft Stamper mag). I just love how versatile it is. 

I stained some white card and then stamped over it. When dry I added some Novo black crystal drops.

I wrote little "heart" quotes around each dotty circle.

Its messy in places and a little off centre but I love it :)
