WOYWW 329

Sorry , photographing this Tuesday night as I wont get time before work in the morning and it's a bit dark. To the left of the pic, you will see 25 pieces of a banner that I spent the weekend making for a friend who has a big birthday very soon. Sorry daren't show you - just in case. I started another journal page ( even though I have not finished one from last week. This is a bit wishy washy at the mo. I am hoping to get a bit more done tomorrow night or at the weekend.

Here is a sneak peek of a "spacer" panel.

If you would like to join in with the WOYWW hop , pop over to see Julia's blog where all the info is.

  5. Well aren't you a good friend! That's a lot of banner! No doubt she will be thrilled. See, I don't see wishy washy on your page at all..maybe ethereal, i think the background suits the butterflies!

  7. Oooh, the banner must look amazing with 25 pieces of those! What a great idea! It would also work for just regular decoration. Hmm, I might just try that! Love the background of the butterfy page - yummy! Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa @ InkyDinkyDoodle #37

  9. Such a lovely journal page - love the gentle background with all the butterflies - just gorgeous. I love the banner too and admire how you've made 25 pieces - I've just completed a Halloween banner for my mantle piece with 5 pieces and I found that more than enough - so fiddly! Yours is beautiful and so detailed, it's going to look amazing when it's all strung together - lucky friend!

  15. Can't wait to see the banner, Sue. I'm thinking you could make fantastic Christmas banners as well as birthday ones, that would be so cool :).
I love butterflies so can't wait to see the journal page after you've 'tweaked' it a bit. I've got a question...when you use the gelli plate for the background, do you print direct onto the journal page or do you make a print and paste it in? My Gelli mark 3 seems to be a LOT better. I doubled the ingredients and was able to make a square one that's a bit thicker. I think I need a wider brayer though as the one I've got is only about 2". I'm thinking a 4" would be a lot better.

  16. Love the sneak peek, Soojay, and how delighted your friend will be with her birthday banner!! I adore the page with the butterflies - it's really pretty. Thank you for a lovely comment on my blog - so glad you like the cards. If you pop back to my blog you can see the purple basket I made yesterday to put all the little gifts in for our neighbour and we gave it to her today and she loved it. I am so sorry to hear your friend has to have chemo - wish her all the best from me! I had some good news from the oncologist today that because I am so near the end now, and she is concerned about one of the side effects I am having, she has decided to cut the dose down to half for the final 2 sessions! I should notice a huge difference in how I feel afterwards - I was very poorly last time. I can face the final 2 much better knowing I shouldn't be feeling so bad.

    Happy belated WOYWW,

  17. Your spacer banner looks lovely so it will be a real treat to see the whole lot of them - next week maybe?
I like your page journal, not all pages have to be bright, this one looks so pretty, and next time I do a journal I will make different pages - and some will be like yours.
