Sorry , photographing this Tuesday night as I wont get time before work in the morning and it's a bit dark. To the left of the pic, you will see 25 pieces of a banner that I spent the weekend making for a friend who has a big birthday very soon. Sorry daren't show you - just in case. I started another journal page ( even though I have not finished one from last week. This is a bit wishy washy at the mo. I am hoping to get a bit more done tomorrow night or at the weekend.

Here is a sneak peek of a "spacer" panel.

If you would like to join in with the WOYWW hop , pop over to see Julia's blog where all the info is.

  5. Well aren't you a good friend! That's a lot of banner! No doubt she will be thrilled. See, I don't see wishy washy on your page at all..maybe ethereal, i think the background suits the butterflies!

  6. Oh you are a teaser! But I understand you don't want your friend to see it ahead of time.
Love the butterflies on your journal page.
    Have a good week,

  7. Oooh, the banner must look amazing with 25 pieces of those! What a great idea! It would also work for just regular decoration. Hmm, I might just try that! Love the background of the butterfy page - yummy! Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa @ InkyDinkyDoodle #37

  8. Oh I love butterflies and you have quite a few fluttering around. The banner is going to be wonderful!

  9. Such a lovely journal page - love the gentle background with all the butterflies - just gorgeous. I love the banner too and admire how you've made 25 pieces - I've just completed a Halloween banner for my mantle piece with 5 pieces and I found that more than enough - so fiddly! Yours is beautiful and so detailed, it's going to look amazing when it's all strung together - lucky friend!

  10. Gorgeous journal page, really must get back into mine again. The banner is a beauty, someone's going to love that. The Range is full of goodies at the moment and well worth a visit. Have a great woyww and happy crafting, Angela x 36

  11. Ooooooh lucky friend - I'm sure she will love the banner and I hpe we will get to see it too! Have a great week :o) Annie C #43

  13. Wow, that is a lot of love that has gone into the banner you've made for your friend! She'll be delighted, I'm sure! Your journal page looks very pretty with the sweet colors and butterflies flitting about. And the spacer is lovely!
    Happy WOYWW!

  14. Hi Sue, happy WOYWW. I'm really liking your butterfly journal page, soft pretty colours and your pennant is really super, bet your friend love the banner. Have a great week Cheers RobynO#29

  15. Can't wait to see the banner, Sue. I'm thinking you could make fantastic Christmas banners as well as birthday ones, that would be so cool :).
I love butterflies so can't wait to see the journal page after you've 'tweaked' it a bit. I've got a question...when you use the gelli plate for the background, do you print direct onto the journal page or do you make a print and paste it in? My Gelli mark 3 seems to be a LOT better. I doubled the ingredients and was able to make a square one that's a bit thicker. I think I need a wider brayer though as the one I've got is only about 2". I'm thinking a 4" would be a lot better.

    1. Hi Bejay, I do both - i also the pages to clean off my roller to help cover a white page.

  16. Love the sneak peek, Soojay, and how delighted your friend will be with her birthday banner!! I adore the page with the butterflies - it's really pretty. Thank you for a lovely comment on my blog - so glad you like the cards. If you pop back to my blog you can see the purple basket I made yesterday to put all the little gifts in for our neighbour and we gave it to her today and she loved it. I am so sorry to hear your friend has to have chemo - wish her all the best from me! I had some good news from the oncologist today that because I am so near the end now, and she is concerned about one of the side effects I am having, she has decided to cut the dose down to half for the final 2 sessions! I should notice a huge difference in how I feel afterwards - I was very poorly last time. I can face the final 2 much better knowing I shouldn't be feeling so bad.

    Happy belated WOYWW,
    Shoshi #32

  17. Your spacer banner looks lovely so it will be a real treat to see the whole lot of them - next week maybe?
I like your page journal, not all pages have to be bright, this one looks so pretty, and next time I do a journal I will make different pages - and some will be like yours.
    Hugs, Neet 15 xx
