ATC's
It's been SO long since I made any of these and as I now have lots of distress inks, pads, stains and paints , I wanted to play.
I even used a set of stamps that I bought a few years ago and had not even opened - heaven only knows why as they are SO cute!
They MIGHT be lavinia stamps but I am not sure - I bought them when I made a few of the magic boxes.
I painted the card with Distress paint in aged linen and squeezed lemon and the inked with some wild honey stain and a walnut ink pad. I then sprinkled a little water over. when dry, I used the honeycomb stamp with memento grey ink to make the background. The bees are stamped coloured with copic and cut out. I added glitter glue to the wings.
I added shading to the honeycomb corners with distress stain and a paintbrush .
I used a similar technique to make this background. I used more water drops. I edged with a green gel pen and scribble.
The square is left over from a die cut and inked in squeezed lemon stain. I then used some papermania Pearl dots.
The butterflies are cut from some Making Memories paper and I also used some old MM buttons. Don't you LOVE using up old stash!?!
Hope you like them - I am not putting my mess away yet as theres a bank hol this week and I might get to "play" again.

How nice to have a play :-) I think these are great, I really love those cute bees.
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried these, but this post has tempted me. So many crafts, so little time.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful ATCs Sue - enjoy your playtime.

Oh Sue, these are just too delightful! I'm really into ATC's right now and I think I've fallen in love with your 3D ones, especially the mega cute bees (my sis, Gwyn, calls me Bee and my first tattoo was a bumble bee on my shoulder so they are close to my heart). x
