WOYWW 570

Late again!! - I always forget to take the photo before bed and am too busy when I first get up - cannot sit down until everywhere is tidy. I am half way though completing another accordion book. Still using Aall & Create stamps but this time by the fabby  Janet Klein - I love these cute stamps and she has new sets out this week - eeek .

I still have the back  to do .

The front cover also needs to be done.

I am totally addicted to making these little books at the moment and have lots more ideas as well as another workshop this weekend for a flag book , with the amazing and highly entertaining Tracy Evans.
This is the completed second project from her first workshop-  I was waiting for those little nail heads ( Tim Holtz) to arrive.

 So pleased with them.

I love all the textures and getting plain old card to look like metal or concrete.

These arrived the other day andAall & Create have a big new release out this week  - I shall be so poor - ahh well beans on toast for tea ;)
If you would like to join in with the blog hop, hop over to Julia's blog where all the details are.

I found this funny - dunno why hubby is sulking! ( love him really )

Stay Safe

  1. Hi Soojay. Yes, I'm rather afraid I found that amusing too - you may be pleased to know my gardening doesn't get that deep :-). Your little book is just amazing - what do you do with them once they are finished? Are they gifts for friends and family? Your workshop project is incredible. Well done. Exciting new stash there on your desk - just waiting for you to have some fun!
Take care of yourselves. Stay safe. God bless.

  6. I fell in love with your little book - think you might have gathered that from FB. You did yourself more than proud with that one. I would never have bought those stamps myself but now I want them all and look at the stamps so differently. It is absolutely brilliant!
Thanks for asking about my duplicate but I have got rid of it - it was Timeless Moments. I just bought a few of Tracy's stamps because I only had a coiuple and the first A4 one of hers as Bishpaka is my favourite designer and I tended to buy lots of hers along the way.
Will probably see you there this afternoon although I don't have the beetle stamp and no intention of buying it (not a fan of them) but I love how T coloured and used it.
Stay safe and well and keep creating
    Hugs, Neet 4 xx

  12. Hi Soojay, these accordion books look great fun, two posts with them today! I love all the stamps you have used, and how you have coloured them. Hard to believe you have made a plan piece of card look like that- it's brilliant. I am constantly amazed by how talented everyone in this group is. 14. Hi Sue, absolutely love everything on your post today, including the brilliant funny - great stuff! I showed my hubby and he pulled a face! Really, sometimes I don't think he has a sense of humour... His reaction made me laugh even more! Now, if I had taken the picture seriously, he would definitely have something to worry about lol lol!!! Your accordion books are just soooo lovely and your beautiful backgrounds too. As for those textured pieces, well, they are a real fix for a texture junkie like me! I love making ordinary stuff like card into something that looks like metal too. I did some DIY rust samples once with various gel mediums etc. and my hubby put his metal detector over them but it didn't register lol! I also made some gearwheels from shrink plastic that looked as if they'd been rusting at the bottom of the sea for centuries. I haven't done anything like that for ages. High time I did a bit more mixed media...

Thank you for your visit - glad you like what's on my desk this week. My hubby bought our herb plants some time ago and kept them in the garage until it was warm enough to plant them out. I can't believe how much they've grown! I put some in our salad tonight, really yummy. As for my new washing line, I can't wait to do next week's wash and hope it doesn't rain... No doubt the novelty will soon wear off!

    Happy WOYWW,

  16. Haha I found your last pic so funny and my hubby asked why I was laughing. Didn't have the heart to show him as we have spent the whole day gardening and he may not help next time. Beautiful artwork on your desk, just gorgeous. Have a safe week and keep creating.

  18. Sorry for the late visit I don't know where the days go to. Thanks for your visit. Love your accordian card I don't know if you saw mine that I made for my daughters 50th birthday a few weeks ago. I put photos in it from her birth. It was her birthday on the 9th but unfortunately she hasn't received it and I posted it over two weeks ago that is the Spanish postal system for you. Have a good week. Ani #11
