I have been jewellery making more than papercrafting recently- makes just as much mess!! Hubby keeps complaining about tiny bits of wire that fly across the room when I snip it. The desk contains some of my tools and just a tiny selection of my beads and gemstones. I am photographing this on Tuesday night just before I go to bed ( it will stay in this mess until after work tomorrow -Weds- when I shall add to it). I have a slight Pearl addiction 😏.
This is a 28 inch champagne gold plated wire, coffee coloured freshwater pearl and glass bead necklace.
I love these colours and may have to keep it for myself. I made earrings to match as well.
The postie delivered these beauties yesterday 😀.

Your beads look beautiful, Sue, I love the colours. Jewellry is something that fascinates me but so far I have resisted it. I don't need any more stash in my room, lol.
ReplyDeleteHave a great Wednesday.

ReplyDeleteSimply superb Soojay, lovely indeed. The gold champagne necklace is truly beautiful...
ReplyDelete..... I'm not sure if it would work, but maybe use a high sided largish container when snipping so wires are contained? Just a thought, I don't make jewellery but am conscious such things can be dangerous potentially so there maybe some solution somewhere.
I hate cleaning up floors so avoid mess on them as much as possible, eg tiny paper or card pieces from dies, I make sure they don't go floor either.
Thanks for sharing your inspiration! And happy WOYWW.

you need to do something about the low flying wire cut offs... it could cause more marital strife than you realise...,when I complained to my Mr G about a similar experience during an episode of his toe nail clippings activities? - he left the room _ oh how lovely I thought - he has gone elsewhere to do the dangerous deed, but no he simply returned forthwith - a pair of eye protecters in hand - that he then insisted I wear until he had completed his task...Dx #32
ReplyDeleteA lady after my own heart! I love gem jewellery so much. It's lovely to see such a different craft on the stamping ground blog. I used to make a ton of jewellery, mostly for me and as gifts to friends but when the local bead shop shut, I stopped. You might just be swaying me to get to the bead shop in the city next to me! Thanks for sharing and have a great week - EmbroidRage #5 x
ReplyDeleteWow! Love it! I can't wait to get out my beads and wire again when I get my crafty corner reorganized. Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #40

ReplyDeleteI've not tried jewellery making (probably as well, given how little space I have left!) but looks like you're having fun. hope the little snips of wire don't cause injury lol! Helen #1
