Hammering and mens Jewellery
I ran out of ready made chain, so thought it was time to learn to make my own. I have bought SO much wire anyway. First up is small wire beaded links with a finer wire ( 08. mm gauge) .
I watched this you tube video to learn:

It was fiddly at first but I got the hang of it.
I made this necklace ( av. in my Etsy shop) , with agate and mookite gem stones.
Then came the hammering - I found some pinterest images and just copied them to make the "S" links and clasp.
This time I used a 1mm gauge wire, the hammering work hardens the metal and makes it stronger. I made hubby a necklace.
I also made a bracelet with the thicker wire.
I have been told to get a rubber block to dampen down the noise while I am hammering ....oopps!!
Back soon xx
