WOYWW 585

My desk is clean and tidy ( for now) I have managed to complete a few of my projects on the go after my craft room has now got a lot cooler . My Tracy Evans tag book is done ( images below) and i even ordered some of the does in the sizzix sale.

I finished the canvas yesterday - i used Aall & Create stamps.

My tags - all in the book now.

I also made a long multi gemstone necklace with Amethyst rounds and little square gems stones.

I still have a couple of projects to finish and another class next weekend, so I will be busy.

Thanks for all your kind wishes for hubby , he is a lot happier now he knows the set up at work. He was surprised that some were not social distancing, i told him to just politely ask them to keep away from him and to just look after himself, which he is now doing.

Ohh and my car passed its MOT - yayyy . Edited  was over heating big time today - got to have a new water pump :(

If you would like to join in with the weekly blog hop, Pop over to see Julia where you can find all the details.

  2. Yay on the car definitely and good for you in telling your husband to just look after himself at work and ask people politely to stay away. I am glad he felt better about going in - must admit I am so so glad I no longer teach.
No, I am not doing the weekend wow book. I was unsure about how I would be with this pacemaker or when it would happen. This coming weekend is a bit soon as I have to be careful not to reach out for anything for a couple of weeks in case I pull the leads etc. It's a bit bruised and battered looking at the moment. I can always buy the class later if I want it. I am not stamping at the moment because of the pressure needed so am happy cutting out and colouring the Janet K dolls that a friend sent images of to me. After the tag book where I was dashing about finding stuff to use I thought it best to take it easy after the op. Will look forward to seeing yours though. I might do the wellies one.
Great canvas, I can't wait to get using that figure and wings, in fact I stamped the figure and wings out before the op so I might just plan something with that, wonder if Chas would be any good at stamping? (Doubt it, he can't tie my hair back and it is driving me nuts, should have had it cut short, so think stamping might be out)
Enjoy your week and your class.
    Hugs, Neet 7 xx

  3. These tag books are really fantastic - saw them on Neet's and Cindy's blog as well! Makes me want to try this technique! The canvas is superb as well - it's so rewarding finishing these bigger projects! Keep creating and thanks for your visit! zsuzsa #21

  4. Hi Soojay, don't think I got to you last week so trying to work the other way around! Haven't decided if I'll do the next class with Tracey - I loved it but it took over my life for a bit!! I see you have bought a 'circle splatter die' - do let me know how you get on with that!! I was using my collection of bottletops to put marks on my tags but after a while I found I had a stamp and inked it instead of the ubiquitous black paint. Is that cheating LOL? Your tags look brill - I really love that zingy orange. Happy WOYWW, stay well, saty safe, Cindy #20

  5. Your little book is delightful, and it looks like a lot of fun doing Tracy's classes. I just love your necklace and I'm intrigued by the little twists of wire coming out of each bead - do you twizzle them yourself - they look very fiddly but very effective! It's gorgeous and definitely the sort of thing I would choose to wear. What a strange and unsettling time this is for us all, I'm so glad your hubby is settled and happy back at work.
Hope you have a great week,

  6. I've seen a few results from the Tracey Evans workshop now and, whilst they're all individual, you can see the theme - I love yours so much, that first tag is beautiful, the burnt orange is such a great colour! Glad your hubby is ok at work now and phew about the MOT!

  10. Hi Sue, I understand how your hubby feels I think some people are very naive about the virus or very selfish. I was surprised today when I saw the news. I was requested to do the test that is being done nationally which i did and it came back negative so that was good but apparently of all the letters that are sent out only half the people actually do the test and send them back. I don't understand why they do this. We all have to work together to eradicate this awful virus. Anyway back to the lovely tidy desk and wishing you a very happy woyww and a lovely crafty week, Angela x14x

  12. Isn't "our Tracey" a hoot and she works so hard. You have made a fab tag book. Love it.
Such a relief when the car passes the mot. We had some extra time with our car as the not fell during Lockdown. Though we got the tyres sorted as they were a bit worn, just to be safe.
Take care. Hugs & thanks for your visit. Sue. #18

  13. Seems so much happens sometimes during this lockdown....Thank you so much for your kind words and visiting. Things are falling into place for all of us. Son found a house to rent 3 doors down and a contractor friend has already began repairs to their home. Electricity came back Friday so they are blessed Mon thru Fri is a LONG time with no electric. Hurricane damages in New Jersey did not do that son damage to their home just the yard and destroyed the Gazebo * his man cave !!!! I love the tags you gals did with Tracey's class. WOW the stamps, colors and flowers are all just gorgeous. She does great art. Fun bead work too. I've some set aside thru BoHoday dreams FB group but haven't had time to start. Enjoy a great weekend and Stay Safe.

  17. Your canvas and tags are just stunning, Sue - brilliant work! I am glad to hear that your hubby has settled back at work. I think it's fear of the unknown that's the worst part, and once you know what's going on and what's expected of you, it isn't so bad.

    Happy belated WOYWW,

  20. You are soo busy, you’re amazing. I love the tags..especially that bit where the text is framed with the paper clip and there’s no other colour behind it..clever that. The use of the same colours gives such a wonderful coherence to them all, hope you’re as pleased with it as, well, my eyes and senses! So glad your DH is able to feel work is OK, there are folk everywhere who refuse to or can’t understand the rules or the need for some of us. I don’t understand why people wouldn’t want to be as cautious as possible! Love the necklace too, you really have an eye for putting the beads together don't you. Oh, and patience! Sorry about the car...at least the MOT means that there’s nothing major..it’s always a moment of apprehension isn’t it, and I bet there’s more than just you depending on your having a vehicle!

  22. Thanks for your return visit, Sue. So glad you like the blouse. Unfortunately I can't say I did the embroidery myself - it's a genuine Romanian one. Their traditional embroidery is just stunning. We have quite a number of textile pieces from Romania which my hubby collected over the years when he was visiting annually. One day I may attempt to make a blouse myself!
