Bit late ( trying to get son up and in bath first thing before I take him to his placement) . This is my desk this morning after painting and colouring elements for a canvas last night. Not sure how this is going to turn out yet.

I have made two books so far from last weeks class with Julie Hickey. The blue one just has pain note paper in it and I have enough to make a couple more of these.

This one is made from the patterned card and need to be filled with photos and journaling.

I made some peridot and spinel earrings for and offer in the Etsy store - I LOVE peridot , it was my mum's birthstone and green is my fav colour.

I also made a set of jewellery this week with some of my fav gemstones and shapes.

I just need to photograph them properly to pop in the store ( the boring bit) ha ha.

I went to Norwich with hubby and met up for a socially distance picnic by the river with both my sisters and their other halves . Not seen them since about Christmas - was lovely . It turned out that it was national sisters day too. Cross that I forgot to take photos!
Hubby is now out of Shielding and panicking about returning to work next week - he is a delivery driver . My daughter is also out by doesn't have to go back until September ( she only works 2 hours an evening at the school where i work) We had a meeting with her employer and they have done a really good risk assessment - hubby has not even heard from his employers and has worked for them for over 25 years - how different everything is!!

If you are still here and would like to join in with the desk hopping, Pop over to Julia's Blog where all the info is.

Have a fab week.

  2. Wow, I see you have got the fabulous new stamps. Mine arrived just in time for me to stamp an image and bring it with me. I love those wings and that figure but her rising fro the lotus is fab and I might have been better to do that instead of the huge wings. Gosh aren't they big! Your colouring looks fab! I cannot colour flesh so I just do it the one shade and leave it but you seem to have shading on.
Love the Julie Hickey books you did, at first it was the blue one i thought I would prefer because those are my kind of colours but then the lime one is lovely and I do tend to go for lime. Both are equally lovely and I am sure you will enjoy filling them with whatever you decide.
Nice beading too and good to read more fully about the meet up with the family.
Hugs, Neet 14 (thanks to you I think) xx

  3. Oh I really like those book, especially the green with the bead detail. Gorgeous jewellery too, so proud of my SooJay original! Peridot is my birthstone too, so I'm very fond of it. Hope your hubby will be ok.

  4. I recognise those lovely Aalll and create stamps, Sue, they are gorgeous aren't they and your canvas is looking great.
It must be quite daunting to be going back to work after shielding for so long. I know schools have a huge risk assessment as we've just received ours for September and there's more measures in place now than there was before we broke up. I hope your Hubby manages ok too.
Have a good week and stay safe

  5. Gosh you've been busy and what great results too. Hope everything goes well for your hubby returning to work, we'll just have to hope they've got themselves sorted for when he gets there though you might have thought they would have contacted him. Wishing you a happy woyww and a lovely week of crafting too, Angela x10x

  6. Really taken by the lady/girl hugging her knees, had to get close up to screen to look closer. backup mini hub is holding out at the moment since hubby sorted the duplicate id conflict but the replacement hub is just the same as the original and also our own! Managed to get an engineer for tomorrow though, we'll see. Hugs BJ#12 and thanks for the visit.

  8. A very adventurous canvas with all that texture and I love both books as well - I'm sure they'll be useful too. We met up with my husband's brothers family as well (that's how I got off the bike LOL) - and I'm feeling a bit nervous about going back to work too - I got so used to working from home! I was going to do some trial runs in August and back in September - of course by that time we'll probably have another lockdown! Thanks for your visit! Have a lovely week! zsuzsa #11

  9. Gorgeous jewellery, my goodness you are so patient. Must be overly to be able to ‘play’ do productively with y our favourite stones. Don’t pearls just about go with everything, how gorgeous. Love the texture on that canvas, and am fascinated that live stamped coloured and cut a load of things in preparation...I’m still the kid at school who sticks one thing down bang in the middle of the page and calls that my theme, so your MO is of great interest to me. Shocked about your DH’s work not being in touch, I hope that changes and they can reassure him a bit.

  13. Gorgeous projects on your desk this week, Sue, and I really love your jewellery with the unusual shaped beads. Beautifully done. Thank you for visiting, and I'm glad you like the Indian jewellery in particular - it was very cheap on Ebay and I love the style! Interesting that you could get the metal bits separately and add your own embellishments. I'm glad you like my tiny carpets, too - making good progress now.

    Happy WOYWW,
