Another pinterest inspired Butterfly Card

the inspiration for this card was stolen from HERE - I just love the original! So easy to do as well.
Lisa's Blog is well worth a look do pop over to see all her gorgeous designs.
I have "spolshed" and dripped watercolour paint onto my card. When dry, stamped the sentiment and added a die cut stamped butterfly on 3D foam.

Stash Busting

Inspired by some of the blog posts on Uk scrappers , this week, Laura for one, and visiting my sis. I decided to use up a few ( A really tiny amount) of my scraps and old stickers etc.

I bought some post its ( a pack of 4 from pound land) . I also had a pack of four from Tesco as well. I covered them with card stock cut offs and then used bits to decorate. They can be sold at a craft fair or added to a gift.
I also picked up a 6 pack of note books , so will do something similar with those.
So sad that half term is over, it seemed to be a long time coming this time. At least it's not long until Easter and SPRING :) .

Back with a couple of cards

I have used the Stitched flower stamps ( from previous post)  and the backgrounds that I made with the wood grain stamp.
The flowers and leaves have been embossed with white embossing powder  and I used copic to add a little extra colour.

I was very liberal with the liquid pears and also added some flat back pearls too.

I used spellbinder dies for the sentiment to be stamped on to.

JustRight Upcycled Woodgrain Background stamp

This is another stamp I ordered when I ordered the Stiched flowers. It is a Big stamp and lovely to use. I have been playing ......

There are loads of ways you can use this stamp and I have hardly started!

I will show you how to get each effect ( and the mistakes I made along the way)

So this is stamped with Dristress ink ( Walnut stain) - left to dry and then painted over with gelatoes ( any watercolour would do).

This one was stamped with the same ink and then embossed with clear embossing powder and then painted with gelatoes but again any water colour will do ( and you don't have to wait for the ink to dry :) )

stamped with a brown stazon onto patterned paper - I tried to emboss it with clear embossing powder but the power only stuck in a few places.

This one was embossed with Judikins clear embossing ink ( versamark will give the same effect) and then I used a white embossing powder. I then painted with gelatoes and rubbbed some of the paint off with a babywipe. The embossing powder didnt stay on as well.

For this one, I painted some watercolour paper with the colours first and then stamped onto with the walnut stain - as you can see, I needed to wait a little longer for the paper to dry. I really like this one so will try it again and wait for it to dry first! No embossing this time.

I meant to do this one with clear ink but I had't cleaned the stamp up properly , so got a pale brown. I used frosted embossing powder and the painted as before.

My second attempt at using white embossing powder- This one worked a little better.

I used clear ink again and then the shabby blue stampendous embossing powder. Painted with a pale blue colour.

Back later with one used on a card.

JustRight Stamps

I am still uing the stamps that arrived the other day from "JustRight" they are GORGEOUS. I bought them from HERE.  They do have a lovely selection.

Aren't these great?!

I stamped onto Neenah  Card and then coloured with copic pens and cut out.
The frame was stamped onto p paper . I was liberal with the liquid pearls.

Already working on the next one - So sad that half term is going so quickly!!!

Pinterest Inspired Cards

Using up some more of my Graphic 45 Papers - this time mostly Secret Garden.
I LOVE Pinterest and spend HOURS on it.  I was inspired to make this card by one i found on pinterest. Unfortunately , the blog has been shut down and I don't know who made the original.

I have layered up the middle with spellbinder die cuts.

I inked and applied crackle accents to the top die cut and then added a butterfly.

I am quite happy with the end result but I am in awe of the original card ...its just stunning !!
Just wish I knew who made it.

I made this card from JustRight Stamps (Stitched flowers and vintage tags)
I stamped onto the P Paper and cut them out and layered them up.

I added glitter and liquid perals.

I am inlove with these stamps ( and have a couple more sets on their way to me ..shhh!)

Here is the original card- This time I can show you who made it HERE .

I added a tiny amount of glitter to the butterfly wings.

A valentine..

Inspired from a pinterset card, for my daughter.  I used her punch from Stampin up to make the little Owls and a sizzix flourish .

She was thrilled with her card .

More Time to Flourish - Graphic 45

Warning - lots of photos!
So, after making the calendar, I still had loads of my 8" x  8" book left and quite a bit of the 6" one as well. I made a Birthday Book for my boss at work- I did make her one a couple of Christmas's ago but managed to spill candy cane vodka all over it!

here is the new book.

For the cover, I used a Spellbinder die and a piece of chipboard from the "Time to Flourish" set.

I covers some 4 1/2" x 5 1/2" chipboard with pieces from the 6" book and then used a die to cut the plain centre piece ( where she can jot down the Birthdays). I used bits from the 8" book to decorate -I STILL have loads left ( and another book on order!)

I used Glitter glue and Liquid pearls on each piece.

I cut out some of the flowers.

And other elements , like the butterfly.

I tried to keep to the same embellishments- like the stamps.

I hope she likes it.
I am sure I will be back with more soon.
