WOYWW 510
I have not joined in for AGES with the Work Desk Wednesday Blog Hop- Partly because i have been mostly creating jewellery and not paper crafting . I am still making jewellery but... I have new obsession...... Jane Davenport ! I may well be late to the party but it was the "making faces" supplies that hooked me in. I trained as a beauty therapist ( a few hundred years ago ) so was drawn to the gorgeous paints and pastels that arrive in make up style packaging. I may have bought a few ( see previous post!) eeek.
She also has some gorgeous acrylic paints and i have been playing with them to make backgrounds with my geliplates. The ones on my desk are not finished yet , just the beginning.
I am dropping a day at work after Easter and won't be going in on a Monday, hopefully i will get more time to play, instead of collapsing on the sofa after tea.
If you would like to join in with the nosey at other crafty peoples desks .... HERE is the link for Julias blog
back soon

ReplyDeleteNice to have you back Sue. I can understand you getting hooked on the Jane Davenport stuff, they are packaged so prettily and I love her faces.
ReplyDeleteYou should have spent your time showing us the jewellery, it's not just papercrafters on here. Please show us some when you have time.
Hugs, Neet 10 xx
Great to see you Sue, we need to see the jewellery too bet it's gorgeous. Loving the colours you've used on your crafting and wishing you a happy creative woyww, Angela x15x
ReplyDeleteHi Sue. How lovely you are back and thank you for popping by. I now need to find out more about Jane Davenport, not something I am familiar with. Look forward to seeing more of all your work. Anne x #13
ReplyDeleteHi Sue. Good to see you again. Great looking piece there on your desk this evening. Was fascinated by your visiting comment about my cross stitch... the only thing I can think of in my photo that might look like cross stitch is the calligraphy piece Shaz in Oz gave me last year when she came over and stayed here with me - and I wholeheartedly agree - the colours are stunning.
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.

ReplyDeleteHi there, it's lovely to see you back on the desks - and we don't care what crafts people show! In fact, I like all the weird and wonderful stuff that people do :-D. I have never heard of Jane Davenport, but the tubes/colours are very pretty indeed!

Hi Sue! I have the Jane Davenport faces, but haven't done much with them yet, I don't have the paints yet, maybe I should get some? Your gelli plate background looks awesome, and I don't think my cheapo craft paints work all that well on my gelli plate! Thanks for your visit, Lindart #26
ReplyDeleteNice to see you back again, and I'm always delighted to see jewellery and beading work - I firmly believe we can't have too many beads in life! I haven't come across Jane Davenport before so that's definitely a name for me to look out for - I'm loving the pretty colours you're working on at the moment.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for stopping by my desk earlier, I hope you have a great week,
Diana x #16
Oh yess.... getting creative feels so much more rewarding than hanging on the couch but oh-my, the couch can be tempting isn't it? I love the beginning-backgrounds, nice colors! I wish you a wonderful, cosy and relaxing Sunday! Hug from Holland. Marit #19
