Scrapology -September Challenge -StarBurst
Good morning - 1st September is not one of my favourite days - it means I go back to school very soon and the Summer is almost over . I am definitely a Summer person .
This month at Scrapology we have scraplifted Sandie Edwards - her page can be seen on the MAIN BLOG ( along with details of the prize.
This is the sketch we used - I prefer to call it SUN burst though ;)
A little poetic license with the title.
The background looked too dark so I sploshed a little bleach here and there and around the edge. It made my navy blue card stock turn brown. I couldn't leave it there - ohh no - I do like to experiment occasionally, so , I added crakle accents to the bleached areas- I kind of wish I haden't but hey ho!.
I used my spellbinder banner dies to create the "burst" and added silver stickles glitter glue.
The papers are quite old - chatterbox - i forgot how lovely they were.
I die cut a doily ( papermania) for the mount.
My Son ( years ago - almost 20 now!) still just as sweet though.
Please go to the main blog to see the truly gorgeous pages made by my fellow team members.
Soojay xx
