Two Birthday Banners

Sorry I was missing for a few days.I HAVE been busy as it was my Daughter, Natalie's 30th Birthday last week and she wanted a party.  Can you guess that she loves Owls?!!

I was really lucky to find this large Owl stamp at the Range for £1.99.
It is coloured with copic pens.

The banner was a pre made one at the Range , also on special offer.

I added a little glitter and some 3D foam .

The other one I made stretched right across the hall and says "Happy 30th Birthday Natalie" .In between each word and at each end is a hand made owl like the one above. I used punches and die cuts and a template.

I dusted off my making memories slice to cut the letters in different papers and punched out a circle.

Each part was decorated slightly different - the "Happy" has lots of liquid pearls in different colours.
The "30th" had gold metal studs added.

The "Birthday " is all in blue with blue liquid pearls.

"Natalie" is mostly purple ( her fav colour) and had gems attached.

All used from old papers and card- I would have done more but ran out of time.
She had a wonderful time .

WOYWW No 2 ( for me)

A big mess!!
Some of the Coloured in Tim Holtz Stamps ready to be made into cards and tags.
A Great Big roll of ribbon bought from the hobbycraft online sale( just out of sight is some card blanks and two 8" x  8" scrapbooks, also bought in the sale). The ribbon is too wide for the project I had in mind but I am sure I will find something to use it on. The teeny tiny flowers are diecut for another project and I have no idea why I got out those butterfly stamps!

Little Red Bird

So I am pleased to say that the cute little red bird was just buried amongst some papers.
Coloured with water colour pencils and paints.

I stamped some branches ( Lavinia stamps) and found a tiny flower that I stamped with picked raspberry distress stain to look like blossom. I added liquid pearls to the centre of each blossom.

I added a fussy cut butterfly from some papers i pinched from my sister ( From lily of the valley *i think*) and a small amount of glitter.

I then started again with copics this time. They are much more vibrant colours.

Lots of layers.

Sticky letters for the sentiment.

I shall be back (hopefully) later in the week with more.

One more

You will be pleased to know that I found the little red bird. I just haven't use it to make a card yet - I got waylaid by other things - laundry etc. I also stamped out some more images and coloured them with copic pens this time . I might get time tomorrow to turn them into cards although I have got gardening to do :(

I sprayed the card blank first with dylusions vibrant turquoise and then a little brushed pewter distress spray.

I added a little liquid pearl dots to the frame and cutout some could die cuts.
The font is from websters pages alphabet sticker.

New Stamps

I first saw these on pinterst and found it really difficult to not order straight away.  As you can see, I gave in anyway- they are out of stock in quite a few stores or on back order. I managed to grab them from here  I just noticed that they are also out of stock  here as well - My sweet Friend Jane says she is waiting for an order so do check out her store soon.

I cut a piece of watercolour card from crafters companion into four and chose four of the birds to stamp.

I stamped with black stazon ink.

I used a combination of watercolour pencils ( a mixture from various craft shops) and watercolour paints.

I added a little shadow  underneath and

used glossy accents on the eyes.

 The first card assembled.
I used some gorgeous paper that I stole off my sister Annette for the background.

 I LOVE the prima jewels.

 So Cute.

Can you tell I am using up paper from my scrap box again.

A few blue pearls to decorate.

I kept both cards reasonably plain as the stamps are so cute- I didn't want to take attention away from them.
I 'll be back with the other two soon ( can you believe I have lost the red stamped bird already? - if you could see the state of my desk , you would understand!- I am sure its in a pile of stuff somewhere.)

Wednesday, 15 April 2015

I have always been nosey and have a few friends who join in with "Whats on your Work desk Wednesday" . I finally remembered to look at the main blog HERE and found out its been running for almost 6 years!! Anyway - I am FINALLY playing along and here is my work desk. Always a mess- if I tidy it - I them have to make something - which means its a mess again.  I have been covering notebooks from pound land for pupils at school ( they have been given out now) and a few post it pads with scraps . There is a big box to the left of the desk - permanently left there so I can use stuff up ( although I do tend to add to it as well!) The scraps of thing green ribbon are from a new T - shirt ( i don't throw anything way) .

If I turn around - My PC desk is behind me ( notice the mars bar and the Toffees :) ) The reason I am sharing this is because its a cheap desk - not real wood and the paper was wearing on the top . I bought this FAB vinyl from Amazon last week to cover it and I Love it .

You never know- I might be back next Wednesday.

Graphic 45 Page

A REALLY quick page. I have had this photo on my desk for a few weeks now and was getting stuck on how to use it. I searched graphic 45 beach pages on pinterest and this page outout was the first up.
All I have done is cut a couple of elements from the "by the sea" range out and popped the mounted pic on top of the page- simple.

I bought the new "joy crafts" die with the life belt last week and was keep to use all three dies.
They werte cut from white card and then coloured in with copic pen.

This is probably one of the quickest pages I have done - though hubby doesn't like the photo ( the wind was blowing up his jacket ).

Theses are ther die I used - I love them.

Dilly Beans- Spring

this week we are celebrating Spring at Dilly Beans. I Love spring - who doesnt? Such pretty colours and the promise of warmer weather and lighter nights.

I used copic pens to colour the stamp and cut out the background.

I found these buttons in my stash - just the right colours.

I am still using up older papers - so feeling quite good.

Please pop over to the Dilly Beans Blog to see the gorgeous inspiration from the rest of the design team.

And Another

See last post if you don' have a clue about what I am talking about!
Once again I have used the Lorena doll stamp , this time mixed with
The Megan stamp.

 They work really well together.
I drew the long hair myself .

The tag was prepared by using a prima floral stencil . I mixed some white acrylic paint and vibrant turquoise spray (Dylusions) and then gave it a little spritz with the turquoise and some brushed pewter distress spray.

I had some trellis left over from another project but as it was too white, i shaded it with C2 copic pen and then distress stain in walnut. I then die cut some memory box tiny flowers and butterflies  to add to it.

The clock face was downloaded and printed out ( on my "print it" pinterest board) .
The words were silver rub ons originally but were a bit too old to transfer properly, so i used a fine liner to go over them.

I had a tidy up this morning and put my doll stamps away , so I will be back with something different next time.
