Isn't he cute? I bought the stamp at Ally Pally in September from Lily of the Valley

I painted him a few weeks ago and had intended to do some more this weekend except i realised i had left my water colour pencils at school!

Chicken Soup Recipe No 21

I really enjoyed this one :) Found Here I used the paint as my inspiration and remembered all that Ann taught us in her class at the ATDML retreat. I painted with bubble wrap, spritzed and also did some embossing with clear powder as a resist for distress inks.
Such fun!

I also used the title of the song as my title...I love this song :)

The brown flowers were cut from the strips of paper cut off and then curled. I used crystal brads and buttons for the centers as i thought i had lost all my "bling". I had stupidly left it at the retreat and Jill found it ....yayyyyyyyyyyyy :)

Given in

And started to make my Christmas cards. I Love the Hero Arts winking Reindeer stamp and have seen a few cards with him on. I still have loads of old stash to use up so, he is the only new Christmas craft purchase.

Sorry this one came out a little blurry when i photographed it.

I am not the biggest fan of Christmas..the children are so much older now ..so it costs quite a bit. With them all having learning and other problems, the excitement of Christmas is always a little wearing ( to say the least!!).
Mum died at Christmas (12 years ago - two weeks after we moved into this house ) It was sudden and a shock.
We spent a Christmas or two visiting dad in hospital when he was so ill he didn't know us.
So please forgive me when i give a sigh of relief on boxing day :)
I will not be all humbug I promise..just looking forward to Spring and Summer.
Right , did mean to be so serious.....on to making some more cards and that chicken soup challenge .

Chicken soup Recipe No 20

I just Loved the image for this one but couldn't think of how to use it. Instead I chose the falling leaves as my inspiration for this card.

Sizzix leaves cut from Pink Paisley paper ( parisian anthology)

The magnolia stamp was painted ages ago and just just right for this.
Right onto No 21 which went up last night.

Chicken Soup Recipe No 19

Not sure about this one. Dan dressed as Harry Potter - quite a few years ago - he's so cute!
I sprayed the page with mister ( but it didn't show - too dark) so i used a gold webbing spray that i also dotted stickles glitter glue over. Added some die cut flourishes.

Used papers that came free in a paper craft mag.

I'm Back

This was one of my favorite kits of the weekend..those papers are GORGEOUS!

So pretty.
I just Happened to notice the name "Dan" on the background paper and thought'd i'd have a quick read to see if there were any other names i recognized.....
There were! I highlighted the names of my children with a small amount of glossy accents.

How amazing is that?!

Another reason why I love this paper..I have used it before but never realized that the children's names were on there.

On our desk when we arrived, there was a kit in a bag for us to use. We were allowed to use die cutting etc, black or white paper or ink and glue and thats about it. Here is mine..it wasn't quite finished but I have added another flower since i got home and is now done.

This was also done after getting home with some of the left over papers from a couple of kits.

I only have my tin and ACT cards to up load now..i will save that for later in the week.

Sneaking in

With a few more from ATDML layouts. My PC has been making a lot of "fan " noise and getting a bit smelly when on for a while , so until i can get it sorted, i am trying not to be on too long (or at all). So without further ado...This was a fab class, i wouldn't normally choose such bright colours but i really enjoyed using these papers.

I used some of the new white glossy accents for the flower centre.

One Of Daisy Debs wonderful classes. Great fun! ..especially as my sister Nets was sitting with me for this one.

A close up of some of the wonderful elements in the class..there loads left too!

Ann's class using ink, bubble wrap and misters. I loved the rub on letters used on the p.paper.

The words say .."I Love Your Passion for Life"

Will definitely be doing this again.
I still have loads to show you but have to pop out for a little while , so with give poor old PC a rest.
Ohh and I have the Chicken soup recipe for last week to up load too.
So in the words of the girls at school
Laters!!

Show and Tell

After a long weekend at ATDML retreat , i have lots to show. Unfortunately the light before work in the mornings is quiet poor and on existent after work.
This is Deb's class on Sunday. I still have enough kit to do more ( and probably will)

Lots of stickers that i "pimped" with glitter glue and liquid pearls.

I love these bright papers.

A sketch challenge - using my own stash

Although as the shop was there it would have been rude not to shop for new.

Suzanne's Class on Saturday. I LOVED this class. Those papers were a grey /white before we started. I really liked that everyone's looked so different depending on the distress inks used.

Photo of Nats at about 4 yrs and my precious Cav :)
I also bought the rest of the papers ( and just ordered some more inks) so I can play at home .

Ann's little Christmas "make and Take" book- So simple to do and takes a few mins. I might do some of these as gifts.

I also made another mini book - Another gift idea.
Still got to put photo's in it.

A very messy "make and take" Christmas tree - I will definitely NOT be making these at home! micro beads everywhere!

Back later in week with more photo's - just waiting for light

Chicken Soup No 18

I loved this weeks recipe which can be found HERE

I printed out the same photo in lots of different colours and then chopped them up.
I used the big shot to cut some shapes as i wanted them to be exactly the same.

Used loads of rub ons for the words.
Great fun!
