Art journal - recyling and experimenting.

While browsing pinterest earlier today , I saw a journal page with a fab idea- to use up those rub on sheets. There was a time that I loved them and bought lots of them - probably to use one or two words or images. The rest tend to get put in baggies and come away from their backing sheet and bits come off. I Love that for this page , it doesn't matter, its just part of the background.

The rub ons went on first mostly randomly , some didn't come off at all and some only partly. I then applied distress inks and then spray water.
next I painted the heart in distress paints.

I added some more words and some white spray.

I finished with a very small amount of glitter paint.

I quite like it.

  1. I probably have tons of these buried under the stash mountain - what a fabulous way to use them up.
    Super page Sue.

  2. What a great idea - and I know where I have some (which is rare but true). Fab journal page.

  3. That's so cool, Sue. When I first started papercrafting, a friend sent me a mountain of supplies to get me going. Included in the stash were heaps of rub-ons that I still have safely stored in bags. Looks like I might actually get to use them after all lol. Can I ask you what kind of spray paint you use?
