Another page from ATDML Retreat

This is another page from the fab class by Mel Hand from ATDML using Marion Smith Time Keeper Papers.  The photo is of me in Diagon Ally at Harry Potter World on a school trip  in 2013. It was one of the best school trips I have been on and I am SO EXCITED that I am going again in a few weeks ( I am cheaper to take than a teacher as I don't need so much cover ) - It will definitely feel like Christmas after the trip .

Enabling alert! I filled the punched flowers with Tonic Studio Crystal drops . They are very much like liquid pearls but you get more in a bottle and I found them cheaper! (depending on where you buy- my bottles were £2.25 each)

The Nuvo bottle contains 1fl oz the liquid pearls contains half that 1/2 fl oz

The bottle is prettier AND when you have used It all up , you have a pretty gem to remove and use. I love liquid pearls and use them all the time - but the Nuvo is just as good - I am sold.

While I was browsing I also bought some of the new gilding flakes _ again cheaper and a bigger pot :

I can't remember how much I paid for the indigo Blu flakes but it was over £5
The nuvo ones are £4.99 a tub - they only arrived yesterday, so I have not tried them out yet .
They only come in silver, gold and copper so far.

There is quite a bit more in the tub.

You can also get a glue pen to use with them if you fancy your handwriting gilded.

I have my eye on the embossing powders ( also in a gem topped bottle ) and The new embellishment mousse ( not out till 23 Dec) they do bottles of glitter.

And I thought that Tonic Studios only made dies!- Sorry if you already knew but I thought it was just too good to keep to myself.

Soojay xx

  1. Well I didn't know about it Sue so thanks for sharing. A lovely page of you at Harry Potter World. I'm sure you'll enjoy your trip again soon. I used to go on day trips with the children when my son was little but nothing as exciting as yours. Barbxx

  2. Fab LO Sue and how exciting to be able to go to HP World again.
I love the Nuvo Crystal drops - there are some lovely colours. The bottles of glitter are wonderful and we played with it during a workshop (the red was stunning).

  3. Oh wow, Sue...I love the Nuvo Crystal drops and now have them on my wish list, along with the embossing powder which looks really good as well and a nice price. I'll look out for the gilding flakes when I need some more as I've always used IndigBlu and you're right, they aren't the cheapest on the market are they.
Love the Harry Potter page and I'm sure you'll be making a new one when you come back from the next trip. Have a great time.
