With my friend Shelly , from work and her daughters. The girls were keen to make mini books to put their holiday photos in. We also made covered note books. The one above (By Abi) is going to be painted later.
I think I could have spent a few days there! I am also very Sorry Shelly ( if you read this) that you are now probably spending a small fortune online!
The inside of Laura's book - all ready to just add photos.
Back to the copics. I AM in love with them...I would never have thought that this would be the case...I just thought they were "posh" felt tip pens!
I have used this stamp quite a few times now. Designed by Carol Vinsons for sweet pea Stamps. I love that you wouldn't want to mess with her. Anyone who knows me, knows that green is my favourite colour. I have coloured her with shades of green and the background is three different shades of grey scribbles.
I have given in a bought a couple of Funky Kits Digi images today. They are almost finished so, I will hopefully share them tomorrow.
I have to say, that after using the copic pens, I now find the water colours a bit faded and wishy washy. As I still have loads of water colour paper left and am ever hopeful of hot sunny painting days, you have not seen the last of the paints yet.
This card I am entering into the "In A Sweet Pea Dream " Challenge this week HERE.
Please be gentle with me as I only acquired the pens last week and that was the first time I had used them. I do like the vibrancy compared to the water colouring.
I have no idea what colours I used but when I get better , I will post the colours.
I CAN tell you that these are copic ciao marker pens and the sea dragon is coloured using all the BG colours. I had to search on you tube for how to do background colouring as i kept getting awful lines. I quite like the dotty backgrounds.
If anyone has some tips or demo's , I would gladly watch and take note.
The stamps are both from Sweet pea.. There is a special offer on at the moment ( that I MAY have to take advantage of !) You spend get 10% off and two free stamps for each order in July ( stores choice) A great way to build up your Sweet pea Collection. Any way link to shop is HERE
I didn't have any tiny wax seals but I did have some wax crayons. I melted the red one with my heat gun and let it drip onto the image and then stamped into it.
A simple card with stolen stash on it..Deb made the windmills to put onto our gift boxes, i took some on the table i was sitting on ( probably Ginge , as I stole most of her "stuff") and then made another myself :) This is the one I made LOL.
Ann had a great idea, to take the gift box( plastic) apart and use it as a template to make our own and fill with some of the THOUSANDS of sweets that Deb brought for the weekend. She made this and I decorated and filled it. I Do LOVE my crafty friends :D
I had a brilliant weekend with lovely people, great food and great accommodation. Other pics are on my other blog
