A few layouts - Don't Faint!!

First I need to apologize for the rubbish lighting- I need to get some daylight bulbs and its so dark now and most of our lights are energy saving- great to disguise the dust but not great to photograph in.
I just came back from an amazing weekend at Stoke By Nayland ATDML retreat .
This is the first time I have done a layout for months and really enjoyed myself.
The layout above was a kit challenge with a sketch and is of Meg in the Summer - I have used these photos before- i NEED to take more photos!

This layout is a sketch challenge and we could use any papers- I chose to use Bella Blvd "Man of the house" papers and stickers. The photos were taken on Dan's 18th Birthday earlier this month.

 Lovel;y Papers :)

This double page was a class taught by the lovely Suzanne Torr and uses Websters pages papers.
We also used shrink plastic to embellish the middle of the lace flowers- I still need to add journaling. The photos were taken in April on Natalie's 26th Birthday.

We cut out elements of the paper and layered them - this light just doesn't show how beautiful the papers are. I went shopping afterwards ( Mel and Jill had their shop at the hotel :)) and bought lots more.
I borrowed Suzanne's boarder punch for the green boarder - I NEED that punch now!!

A close up of the lace flower and the shrink plastic centre.

This three page layout was also taught by Suzanne ( I LOVE Suzanne's classes!) and uses My Minds Eye "Lush" papers. There was lots of cutting on this one !
I chose some of the photos from Megan's year 11 prom in June this year.

I probably wouldn't have chosen these papers myself  but am more than happy with how they turned out.

This is my favorite of the three, probably because I love this photo so much. She was listening to the girl and her dad who were driving the horse and carriage talk about the film sets they had worked on. Her eyes lit up when they said they had worked on "Pirates" with Johnny Depp.

There was a challenge to make a card. I had already stamped this image out so just coloured it in and cut it out.

When I cut out an image close to the black line, I tend to go around the edge with a black copic pen - just to hide up any bits of white. the ice-cream bit must have been a bit damps and the black pen "ran" into it and it looked awful - I almost threw it away to start again but remembered I'd seen some tiny bedazzle beads, so used them to cover up my mistake . Looks okay doesn't it?
There was also ( as always) an challenge to alter something- this time it was a mini bag. I used my Tim Holtz dies to make those flowers.

I cut it open to make a mini book and used kraft card for the pages. It is all decorated now ready to use.

I also made three Mini books but need to complete them all and then put photos in. I am pleased that I still have them to complete , as it gives me something to look forward to doing at the weekend.
I will Photograph and share when they are done - Well done if you are still reading!!

Soojay xx
