ATDML Retreat

Okay, now don't faint...I have actually done a few pages!
My sister's and I Popped to Stoke By Nayland on Friday night to join the ATDML retreat. We could only stay for the Saturday but we managed to have such fun and got to say hi to loads of old friends and meet a few new ones too.
The layout above is from Ann's Class and uses the Simple stories  Harvest lane papers.

As always Ann's class was such fun and she had us make up an Owl , which was just right for My daughter Natalie, who is obsessed with them.
The second page , I changed about a bit to suit my self - i will pop a bit of journaling on the bottom later.

I used my spellbinder dies to make the leafy flourishes and added a little glitter.

The other class I did was By the Fabby Katherine Sutton.
Katherine used Glitz papers , flowers and PAINT!! :)
I DO love the hexagons around at the moment and will definitely try to use lots more paint and spritz on my pages from now on...It's not like I don't have any ;)

The flowers were sprayed gently with water first and then a little Mango Blaze Cosmic Shimmer mist, that was dried with a paper towel to take some of the colour off.

Behind the main photo are two tabs the pullout to add more photos- i still need to do this.

I love all the layers and the paint .
I really enjoyed the class - such a shame we had to come home.

I did also make a couple of cards but I thought it might be a change for once to pop something else up here.

Soojay xx

  4. Gorgeous gorgeous love the photo and you did a great job on the page - glad you enjoyed it.....and I didn't get a chance to say hello properly (I should have but I was having an attack of shyness, overwhelmed by all the people there and worrying whether I had the right person and now I know who you are LOL) It was a fantastic retreat - still got to finish off Anns class - I have done 1 not the 2nd page yet...I was finishing off one of the mini books last night.
