With Sympathy
Recently, unfortunately I have had a few Sympathy cards to make. I do find them difficult as I don't want them to look too "showy" but I also don't want them to look like they were thrown together either.
Sentiments are difficult too, so I settled for something simple.
I have a stamp that advertises my website for the back of cards and so people can tell the card was made by me but I don't feel right stamping onto Sympathy cards.
What do you think? How do you do yours?

These cards are just right for a difficult subject. I personally wouldn't stamp them on the back, but just sign the inside. They will know it's from you at at the time people get sympathy cards they are unlikely to be thinking "Ooo what a lovely card, where can I get more?" IYKWIM. The cards are beautiful and so much nicer than the majority of sympathy cards you can buy.
ReplyDeleteSue, I think these cards are beautiful and just right for the purpose. I totally understand your thoughts about stamping on the back, but to be honest I don't see why you shouldn't stamp them. I know these are for people you know maybe, but maybe a friend of a friend might be looking at them and thinking what a perfect card for such an occasion( much more personal than a bulk produced one) and would be pleased to know where they could possibly get them from if needed another time ( I am not saying that to sound as a sales pitch for you Hun) Having just lost my dear Daddy I know I would not have felt it wrong to have received a card with the makers stamp on the back...infact I did get 2 :). I guess you can only do what you feel comfy with, but personally I don't see it as a problem xxx
